It Came!
And I am numb. Excited, ecstatic, nervous, relieved, but numb.
The letter was supposed to come on April 1st. It was actually one of two letters I was waiting for. The second letter hasn't come yet but it doesn't matter. I got THE ONE. The one I really wanted.
I'd been stalking the mailman daily since the first. Every day I and everyone around me would be like, *sigh* not yet. My husband would ask, "Anything?" And I'd say no. Or I'd call home from work and ask, "Anything?" And he'd say no. Then Thursday comes, my one day of the week that I work a 13 hour shift, it is as usual a super busy day and I have absolutely no time to check about the mail. I am so tired I don't even call before I come home. I just come home. I have just enough energy to peek into the mailbox to see nothing. I open the door, and the fam is there, with flowers and a giant yellow happy face guy balloon... wearing a NURSE CAP!! And there, propped up against the vase, is the letter, open, waiting. And THICK.
I'm still numb.
But the Nursing Program acceptance letter is signed. *wink*
